Take the Ascensor El Peral to reach this former Art Noveau residence of Croatian businessman Pascual Baburizza. The Chilean Fine Arts Museum or Bellas Artes inside the Baburizza Palace is filled with European and Chilean art from the 19th and 20th centuries. Many paintings, sculptures, and written documents depict life in Valparaiso at the turn of the century. Make sure to sit in the adjoining Plaza Yugoslavia after your soak up the culture to see one of the city's many scenic vistas.
