Not only is Pablo Neruda arguably the most famous Chilean writer, but he also has three quirky houses strewn throughout Chile. La Sebastiana is Valpo's own perched above the city in the Cerro Bellavista neighborhood. With sweeping views of the bay, the house's nautical theme is expanded inside the four stories. Peculiar paintings, stained glass windows, murals, and oddities grace the walls of this mansion. Make sure to check out the famed Museo Cielo Abierto (Open Air Museum). Just a short walk from La Sebastiana, the maze of alleyways features rotating murals from South American artists.
